YOUR PHOTO. YOUR CHOICE.

Privacy at the celebration.

Last updated October 9, 2026. The superhero studio is optional. You can sign the guestbook without uploading a photo.

What happens to your photo

If you choose the photo path, your selected photo travels through this site to OpenAI to create your superhero. The site does not save the original upload. Names and selections in the photo path are sent to OpenAI for safety checks; the photo and visual selections are used for generation. The under-13 path accepts only preset fictional adult character choices, never a photo or free text. Its suggested hero alias is added to the card here, not sent to OpenAI. Successful generated portraits are stored using Cloudflare hosting and storage.

OpenAI API inputs and outputs are not used to train models by default unless the API account owner opts in. OpenAI may retain content for abuse monitoring, generally for up to 30 days, with exceptions. This site does not claim Zero Data Retention. Read OpenAI’s data controls.

Age and permission

Photo uploads are accepted only for people age 13 or older. Younger guests can create a fictional adult hero, age 25 or older, using preset skin tone, gender presentation, hair, eye color, and glasses choices with a parent or guardian helping. These choices describe a make-believe adult character; do not use this path to send identifying information about a real child. If the person is 13–17, their parent or guardian must agree to the upload and AI processing. Use a photo of yourself, or get the pictured person’s permission. The guestbook is also available without a photo; a parent or guardian should help younger guests participate.

Who can see it

Your generated portrait is private to your browser session and the event host unless you choose “Add to the event gallery.” The host can access private portraits for event administration. Gallery portraits and guestbook names and messages are visible to people with event access. An event link can be forwarded, so this is not a guarantee that every viewer attended.

Other guests can download or screenshot shared portraits. Removing an image or message here cannot remove copies someone already saved or shared elsewhere. Avoid putting contact details, school information, or other sensitive information in names and messages.

Retention and deletion

Portraits stop being accessible on February 8, 2027, 30 days after the celebration, and are scheduled for permanent removal from the site’s active storage. Download any portrait you want to keep before then. The guestbook is kept as Sydney’s keepsake.

You can permanently delete your own portraits and guestbook messages using the controls on this site in the browser where you created them. A small anonymous portrait allowance record remains until portrait cleanup to prevent repeated paid generations. If you no longer have that browser session, contact the event host to request deletion.

The host can permanently delete a portrait or message. Deletion removes it from the site’s active database and image storage; it does not erase downloaded copies, provider security logs, or any provider-managed backups on their own retention schedules.

Cookies and technical logs

An essential, signed cookie recognizes this browser for seven days, remembers event access, and limits portrait attempts. It does not require your email or a guest account. Hosting providers may process technical request information such as IP addresses and browser details. Treat NFC links and the host’s private link as passwords.

Questions or deletion requests

Contact Sydney’s event host through your invitation contact. Share the hero name or guestbook message you want removed. Don’t send a private event or host token in a public message.
